How to Find a Supervisor

Supervisors are appointed by the admissions committee, shortly before the start of Michaelmas Term.

You may wish to look at the list of Faculty members' research interests before you apply, but this is not a requirement.  If you contact a prospective supervisor in advance of applying, they may indicate to you whether they would be willing to supervise your project should they be asked to do so by the admissions committee.

Supervisors cannot appoint themselves to supervise a particular project, and a commitment from them does not guarantee admission, nor that you will be allocated to that supervisor should your application be successful

For a list of Faculty members, see .
